Why Naturopathy

Why Functional and Preventative Healthcare?

It can help with

Spinal Misalignments

A healthy spine has three natural curvatures: the cervical curve, the thoracic curve, and the lumbar curve. These curves help to keep the spine stable and provide cushioning for the spinal cord. Maintaining these curvatures is key to having a healthy spine and avoiding injury or discomfort.

Functional movement allows us to move our bodies in ways that promote overall health and wellbeing. By engaging in activities that strengthen the muscles and joints, we can increase our range of motion, reduce the risk of injury, and improve balance and coordination.

Pain and Discomfort

Chiropractic is a great method of pain relief for many health issues. It is a type of health care that focuses on the relationship between the body's structure, mainly the spine, and its function. If you are looking for natural and effective pain relief, chiropractic could be the solution for you.

Mantaining wellness

Chiropractic care is an effective way to optimize your health and well-being. Through preventative care, chiropractic adjustments can help to reduce pain, improve mobility, and maintain a healthy spine. Regular chiropractic checkups can help to detect any issues with your spine and nervous system early on, allowing for more effective treatment.

Removing subluxations / misalignments also helps to reduce stress and improve overall physical and mental performance. With regular preventative care, chiropractic can help you live a healthier, more active life.

Toxicity Exposure

Eating a balanced diet is the best way to minimize your exposure to toxins. Eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats can help reduce your intake of toxins, as these foods are often lower in pesticides and other contaminants.

“I've been able to sleep better without neck pain. Dr. Medina is great and very knowledgable.”

Back Pain Treatment

Chiropractic evaluation is a comprehensive assessment to determine the cause of musculoskeletal pain or discomfort. The evaluation usually consists of an orthopedic and neurological examination as well as chiropractic manipulation. During the evaluation, the chiropractor will assess joint mobility, muscle strength and reflexes to determine the cause of the pain. If needed, the chiropractor may order imaging such as X-rays or MRIs to further the diagnosis. After the evaluation, the chiropractor will discuss the findings and create a personalized treatment plan to alleviate the symptoms and restore the patient's natural balance and function. Chiropractic manipulation may be included in the treatment plan to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

Functional movement is an integral part of restoring and maintaining healthy joints and muscles. It is an approach to movement that emphasizes mobility, stability and neuromuscular control. Through the use of dynamic and challenging exercises, functional movement can help improve balance, coordination and flexibility, as well as core strength. It is often used in physical therapy and rehabilitation to help individuals return to activities of daily living. Functional movement can be used to reduce pain, improve posture and decrease the risk of injury.
